Ditto that, we had Transport Ships and Battlecruisers in our custom overviews (as well as scan result filters) in the past, removing a portion of those all of a sudden does make it a lot harder for us end users who not only have to fix that issue, but to learn about it in the first place. Not everyone read the forums and there's some that don't even read the dev blogs or patch notes. Changes like this pretty much force us all for a certain routine during patch days in that we have to go through all the settings and see what the devs have screwed up for us this time, see anything wrong with this CCP Greyscale? You should... I'm currently attempting to write an application to make this transition easier (for others, since I've already updated all of my overviews), but I'm not exactly an expert at programming (I'm in the middle of my second course in C++). I've created a thread here dedicated to solving this problem. Unfortunately I didn't c/p the error message, but I think it's just the general, code 0 error. Yeah, that's because the third party programs haven't been updated yet with the new skill. Not CCP's fault and there's nothing they can do about it. Not true. it took CCP weeks to update their database dump after the last patch. 3rd party software developers could not make their updates until CCP got their act together and sorted that out. Do some research before making assumptions :) Is there some information in this database dump that isn't accessible to players on TQ? Maybe I'm just ignorant, but it seems they have all the information they need. They know the skill's group, its prerequisites, its description, its primary and secondary attribute, and its rank.
In fact, if they call the SkillTree method they can find out all of these things including the GroupID and TypeID of the skill. Mind if I ask why you can't, say, add them to custom overviews where battlecruisers and/or transport ships were checked? Because we don't currently have the tools to do that. It's something we'd like to be able to do in future, if and when we have the development resources available to do it. Would you consider perhaps making a tool that could do this automatically for exported XML overviews, or would this also require too much development time?
You see, I'm asking this because there are quite a few players who have a lot of overviews that they use regularly, and needing to update all of them is extremely tedious and time consuming. It seems that something to this effect should have been done for a change that caused an awful lot of inconvenience for seemingly little benefit. - Mousing over a bracket in space no longer shows that bracket's text description, i.e.: pilot name, ship type, alliance ticker, and distance for a ship. A player now has to click on a bracket in order to see info on it. Mousing over a 'stacked' group of brackets -- where the brackets show close together so the game displays them as a stacked list, still works as before. This has been reported repeatedly in the Help channel, and so appears to be a universal issue.
Not a game-breaking bug, but is somewhat annoying due to the extra clicks required to get info on things in space, especially when the bracket profile is not identical to the overview profile.
CCP Karkur said in help chat that this would be fixed on the patch today. Malcanis for CSM 8 Phrases like "you can't nerf / buff X EVE is a Sandbox" have the same amount of meaning as "If this is a sack of potatoes then you can not carrot." - Alara IonStorm |

Majmuna wrote:When clicking a stargate, clicking something else and then clicking the stargate again for the second time, the circle highlighting it as being selected does not appear.
Correction: The same applies to any object on grid. Confirmed, I just tried it by clicking station, then station services, then when clicking station again the highlighting circle did not reappear.
Once something has been selected and deselected, reselecting it will no longer show the selected indicator. Malcanis for CSM 8 Phrases like "you can't nerf / buff X EVE is a Sandbox" have the same amount of meaning as "If this is a sack of potatoes then you can not carrot." - Alara IonStorm |
